Mephisto
The story of the German actor and theatre director Hendrik Höfgen from 1926 to 1936, when he became the celebrated star of the so-called New Reich. A passionate actor who is tailor-made for the role of Mephisto in Goethe's Faust, the oppurtunist Höfgen only realises too late that he has actually made a pact with the devil.
